I fell asleep on my couch
Waiting
For the world to be kind
And green and healthy.
My coffee is now spilt
Our cat staring hard at me
Colored by my coffee
Making noises that terrify me
My world may be ending
Dry and dusty like the moon.
And the world gets crueler
And men get wickeder
And more vile superlatives…
