Fairies / Anaïs A.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Done by Nils (Salon La Vanité, Paris 5)

This representation of one of the crushed fairies of Lady Angelica Cottington is a reference to the story of Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths of Cottingley in England. To their five photographs of 1917 that have fascinated Arthur Conan Doyle and the world, to be exhibited at the National Media Museum in Bradford.

These little girls who, even on their deathbed, claimed to have seen fairies, demonstrating that the imaginary world, although ending inevitably and brutally, remains silently lurking within each of us.

A reminder stitch.
