Rhinoceros Dream / Tristan Foster

Years later
you get a text
which reads:
“I didn’t make it.”

That night
you dream of
killing a rhinoceros
piercing its armoured skin

Awake in the dark
you recognise your disbelief
but forget this and the dream
by morning

Tristan Foster is a writer from Sydney, Australia. His debut short story collection Letter to the Author of the Letter to the Father was published from Transmission Press. He is co-editor-in-chief of 3:AM Magazine.
