When I come to view
When I grow up
I want to be all
about steadfastness
Furtherance will be as ever
Evil will never unravel (I know)
But memory was and shall be
And mercy will flow
Morsels to me and mine
Though nightly snows
Cover my family
And I will come to know
I’ll know short-term conviction
And have losses then
But let me see whys (all of them)
And all their distances their paths
For this in the end is how
I want to come away.
