Dear I / Diya

hypnotised stillness
fixed smile hiding fear
the size of your mouth~

spewing words hurling
twirling, coiling their way
around your heart
tightening around it~

april showers feel strangely out of place
like your smile
in albums fading ~

do you listen to crickets anymore
or are they lost in the din

dusty books tired of waiting
wither at your touch
trembling with need ~

you cannot visit the same
memory again
without finding it has changed
is that why homes die?

Diya is from lahore. loves old trees, words and surreal nights~
